How can I become a host?

Becoming a host on Musjroom takes no time. All you need is the free app which can be downloaded from App Store or Google Play. You then need to create an account and enter some data to become a host.

How do I identify myself as a host?

As soon as you become a host, you will have to take photos of your identification card. This data helps us prevent fraud so that we can pay you securely. Your ID is not shared with anyone.

How much money can I earn per week as a host?

Making money by renting out your space is very easy on Musjroom. You can earn up to € 500 per week as a host.

You do not pay any service costs as a host. We earn from our guests who pay a commission on every booking.

How do payouts work?

You get paid immediately after the guests have left or checked out. Depending on your bank, the amount will appear on your account within the next 3-5 business days automatically.

Do I have control over who books my rooms?

You have complete control over who you want to allow in your accommodation as a host. This means that you must approve or reject each request. This way you fairly know exactly who is booking your place.

What do I do after I receive a request for a booking?

When a request for a booking is placed, you will receive an SMS, email and notification via the App. You have a maximum of an hour to approve or reject this request via the App. If you do not approve or reject the request within this time, it will automatically expire.

What happens if my guest cancels the booking?

As soon as the guest cancels, the booking automatically expires, and your space becomes available again for other guests.

As soon as you accept the request and the guest has paid, you get the option to easily communicate with the guest through the chat in the App.

Each guest has a profile with their own star ratings and reviews they received from other hosts. You can choose whether you want to allow the guest to stay in your accommodation or not based on these ratings.

How do I ensure that I get good reviews?

Both guests and hosts rate each other. It is important to give the guests the ultimate experience to get good reviews as a host. Think hereby of good hospitality, cleanliness of the accommodation, communication with the guest and friendliness. This way you can build a good reputation with positive reviews.

Canceling a booking as a host is currently not possible. If you still want to cancel a booking due to urgent reasons, you should contact us.

Starting as a traveler

How do I find a last-minute place to stay?

Booking a last-minute place to stay is very easy on Musjroom. You open the app, choose the option "for tonight" or other dates that you want, and the app shows you suitable accommodations nearby immediately. You can of course also search for a specific location yourself. Select a room and send a request to the host.

How do I book a safe accommodation?

Before you send a request, we recommend that you first look at the ratings and reviews of both the room and the host. Based on these ratings, you send a request and receive a response from the host within a maximum of an hour. Pay for the booking after the host has accepted your request and you are ready to go.

Profile and reviews

As a traveler, your profile is important because the host accepts or rejects your request based on your profile where he/she can see your information, ratings and reviews. Building a good reputation is therefore essential. We advise you to completely fill your profile, to be friendly with the host, to communicate clearly and to leave the accommodations as neat as possible.

How do I book?

Making a booking is super simple on Musjroom. You choose a room, send a request and after the host has accepted your request, you pay for the booking.

Can I change a booking?

You cannot change a booking for now on the app. It is however possible to chat with the host to see if there are other alternatives that would suit you.

How do I cancel a booking?

Cancellation is not possible if the request is active. It is possible to cancel through the app within 2 hours after the request has been accepted by the host. You will then receive the booking price back excluding the service costs. You must contact our customer service if you wish to cancel after 2 hours (after the acceptance of your request). Cancellation after 2 hours means you will not receive a refund.

What happens if I cancel a booking?

After you cancel the booking, the entire booking expires, and the room becomes available again. The host will be notified instantly.

How do I contact the host?

You will have the opportunity to easily communicate with the host through the chat in the App once your request for an accommodation has been accepted and you have paid for the booking.

How do I pay for a booking?

You have to pay through the app as soon as the host accepts your request. Note: you have 20 minutes to make the payment. If you do not complete the payment within this time, the booking will be expired automatically.
